Many lifestyle habits can help reduce stress.

Build Positive Relationships

The people around you have a significant influence on your stress levels.

Surround yourself with friends who laugh, have fun, and maintain a positive attitude.

Stay connected with family and friends instead of isolating yourself.

Maintain Healthy Habits

  • Eat a balanced diet
  • Exercise regularly
  • Engage in hobbies and enjoyable activities

These habits help improve emotional well-being and reduce stress.

Breathing Exercises for Stress Relief

1. Stimulating Breath

  • Keep your mouth closed.
  • Breathe rapidly through your nose.
  • Make inhalation and exhalation equal in length.
  • Aim for approximately three complete breaths per second.

Beginners should practice for only 15 seconds, then return to normal breathing.

Gradually increase the duration by five seconds each session until you can comfortably continue for one minute.

2. The 4–7–8 Breathing Technique

  1. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a gentle "whoosh" sound.
  2. Close your mouth and inhale through your nose while mentally counting to 4.
  3. Hold your breath while counting to 7.
  4. Exhale through your mouth with a "whoosh" sound while counting to 8.
  5. Repeat the cycle four times.

This breathing exercise helps relax the mind and reduce stress, making it a simple and effective tool for managing everyday challenges.
